Gibraltar stands guard over the western
Mediterranean. The spectacular rock monolith extends to a land area of about six square kilometers. Gibraltar is situated at the southern tip of Spain overlooking the strait to
Africa and is known as the Meeting Place of Continents.
Gibraltar's history and sub-tropical environment are captivating and welcoming year round. Today Gibraltar is a prominent tourist and business destination. The sub-tropical climate is warm and welcoming throughout the year. The local people are friendly and welcoming and a blend of many cultures.
His Majesty's Government of
Gibraltar is the democratically elected government of the British Overseas Territory of
Gibraltar. The government has
King Charles III
as its head of state.
Gibraltar
is not hydrogen ready as we write, hence clean fleet operators
will have to seek alternative handling facilities to comply
with the IMO's
2040 target.

START
& FINISH LINE - The
first leg of the 80 Days challenge would take 2.34 days. At
a speed of 13 knots the final leg of the hydrogen
powered zero carbon voyage
would take just over three days to complete, free of emissions.
The demonstration of ZEWT
technology in action, could help speed up the transition to
non polluting waterborne
transport. These projections are only a guide. Many of the
ports of call could be bypassed completely to give us a
shorter passage.
